A quick update!

Life has been busy! The last two months have held a fair amount of adventures along with some sorrow for both Josh and myself. On March 16th my grandfather passed away. He left behind a legacy of love and a family that will strive to see him again one day. My grandpa was an amazing man of Christ and though he will always be missed by my family and so many others that he has touched, we can find a certain amount of comfort knowing that his journey has been completed and he made home to our creator.

Today, April 23rd, Josh grandfather also passed away. Though I have never met him my heart bleeds for my husband and his family. I know how hard it is to lose a great man, a great role model. Once again I hope that we can all find comfort in the fact that he is in a better place, with no pain and suffering.

Even though we have suffered some hard times we have also had some adventures. Kelli came to Georgia to visit us for my bday. We had a mini road trip to Panama City Beach, Fl. We had a great weekend on the beach!!! We have also had a camping trip with some friend and went out on the pond in paddle boats and kayaks.

Though I am far away from my friends and family Josh and I have bulit a nice little home here in Georgia. I have met some pretty amazing new friends and the south is actually starting to grow on me! I miss everyone back home daily, but Josh and I are very happy here, together! Love and miss you all! Look for new pics soon!

All settled in!!!!

I have been in Ga now for about 2 and a 1/2 weeks. I have settle back in nicely. It is weird to think that I am here for awhile now. The next time I will be in WA will just be to visit and isn't planned yet. Over the last year Josh and I have travel back and forth so much (there were only two months that we didn't see each other) it is nice to know that, that part of our lives is over.... at least for now!!!
Since I have been here we have adopted our first daughter! LOL. Don't get too excited yet... she is a cute little 7 month old kitten. Her name is Ashlyn ( we didn't name her). She is full of energy and is ALWAYS bounching around the house. Other then that she is pretty low maintenance.... Josh does all of the hard work. I.E. feeding, bathing, and cleaning the litter box! That sounds bad, but he wanted a pet, not me!
We also spend a weekend is a beautiful bed and breakfast in the historical district. It was amazing, Josh really out did his self! It was our valentines day weekend gift to ourselves. We had a nice dinner at the cafe they own with a Jazz band and everything. It was very romantic and sweet!
Tonight we are going to see Mercy Me play at the Columbus center. It should be lots of fun and of coarse Josh is very excited since he is friends with the band. LOL. Anyways, that is about it for now. Here are a couple pics of our weekend away!

One Step Closer.....

The ONE WAY ticket to Georgia has been bought, I am starting to pack the remainder of my things from my parents house and my car is fixed and ready to sell!!! I leave 2/4/09 at 9am pacific time and will FINALLY make it to my new home at 7:30pm eastern time. I am excited and scared all at the same time. I miss Josh and I am ready for the next chapter in our lives, but I hate leaving my family and friends. I have worked hard to build a good life here. I have come so far with friends and family, and have worked my way up through the company that I have worked for, for the last four years. I will be sad to leave all of it behind, but leaving only means time for new beginnings.

Happy New Year... a little belated!!

Well 2009 is finally here and it promises to be a big one for us! Josh left Washington this morning and even though I miss him already I know that the month I have left here will go by fast and then I will be back with him in Georgia and missing my friends and family here. I can't win!!

We had the perfect family New Years. We spent it with My parents, Jeremy, Jordan and their friends Josh and Marie, Cody and my Aunt, uncle and cousin. The boys (Josh and Cody) spent the week helping my dad clean out our shop and painting the inside. For New Years we hung out there while the boys brought out the poker table and played the girls visited and played other board games. It was a great night in with our family!!!!

Now that Josh has gone I will have a very busy month ahead of me! It's time to wrap things up at work. Pack and ship the things I want to bring with me to GA and spend as much time possible with all my friends and family before I leave! It is truly bitter sweet. I am excited to start my new life in the South with Josh, but I am sad to leave behind the amazing life I already have!

GO HAWKS!!!!

All Josh wanted for Christmas was to go to the Seahawks game so we bundled up, caught the train and braved the weather to watch the game. We were not disappointed. We watched our Hawks defeat the Brett Favre and the Jets 13-3! With 4 sacks and 2 interceptions on defense was on fire. It was a great game... and it was fun watching all the boys throwing snow balls at Favre from where we were sitting in the Hawks nest. It was good to see the Hawks play well for a change, and even better for to be in Quest field for Mike Holmgren's last home game. Things were a little crazy while we were trying to leave the game. The trains were delayed and people were pushing and shoving their way on to over crowed trains after waiting for about an hour and a half!! It was insane, but well worth!!! The game really did turn out to be a great Christmas present!!!!
